Staffordshire County Show 2017
The Staffordshire County Show last week seemed to be enjoyed by everyone that I spoke to.
The weather was better than ever this year, with constant sunshine both years, that in itself is unusual on the half term break. The attendance figures have been given as 70,000, a rise on last year.

This is the front of the main Agricultural Society Pavilion Building.
The Show is typical of all larger Agricultural Shows, with Horse, Cattle, Sheep, Pig and Dog Shows, Ferret Shows, Fly Casting demonstrations and Falconry displays. Also Motor Cycle displays, Tug of War and Show Jumping, plus lots more.

In the Rural Interest Area, you had vintage tractor displays, always a firm favourite. Also throughout the two days working demonstrations of thatching, dry stone walling and coracle making were taking place.
For the home, floral art displays and food displays were judged in the WI marque. Also cookery demonstrations and an food hall in the Prestwood Centre.
For the younger Donkey Rides and Punch and Judy.
Lots of places to eat and entertainment throughout at the Band Stand.
And finally, The Antiques Marquee, where you could find me.
All over now until next year, if you have never been it is well worth a visit.
